Description

Coaxial contacts are used in a wide range of military and aerospace connectors for analog radio frequency or microwave applications. Twinax and quadrax are high-speed differential impedance contacts used for advanced digital communications. Milnec’s D38999 compatible TX series connectors can be easily fitted with these specialized contacts. See the table below for contact and tooling information.

  • Typical VSWR: 1.5:1 maximum up to 700 MHz and 500 MHz for properly installed size 12 and 16 coaxial contacts in 38999 Series I, II, & III
  • Insulation resistance: 5,000 megohms minimum at 25°C
  • Contact resistance: See MIL-C-39029/27, /28, /75, /76, /77, /78

    • Contact Performance: Size #8

  • Dielectric withstanding voltage:
    1,300 VAC Rms at sea level, 250 VAC Rms at 50,000 ft
  • Typical VSWR when terminated to specified 50 ohm cable:
    1.5:1 maximum up to 3 GHz
  • Insulation resistance: 5,000 megohms minimum at 25°C
