The BC Series of heavy duty connectors is perfect for mission-critical applications. Crimp contacts provide reliability, while bayonet coupling offers the convenience of quick-disconnect mating. Six receptacle styles and a full range of EMI/RFI backshells provide the ultimate in cylindrical connector solutions for military, aerospace, and industrial applications.

For vacuum chamber or pressurized connector applications, the BC Series offers three hermetic receptacles for various mounting styles. Hermetic connectors feature steel shells and glass fused inserts rated up to 75 psi.

Plug with optional grounding fingers

Description

This straight plug has the option of grounding fingers that provide superior shell-to-shell conductivity for shielded applications. Coupling is achieved with a quick 1/3 turn. Tactile, audible, and visual cues signal complete coupling.

Wall Mount Receptacle • BC00

Receptacle with flange for easy mounting

Description

The wall mount receptacle features a four hole flange for easy mounting to any panel. Accessory threads are provided on the rear of the connector for backshells. A cover is recommended to protect contacts when the receptacle is not in use.

Jam nut with integrated O-ring

Description

A jam nut receptacle is preferred for applications that are subject to environmental hazards because of its integrated O-ring and single hole mounting design, which reduces the number of environmentally susceptible openings in an enclosure.

Cable Mount Receptacle • BC01

Extension Cord Receptacle

Description

A cable mount receptacle is perfect for extension cord applications. A round flange protects the connector from damage when dragged or dropped. A backshell is required for strain relief, and a protective cover is recommended to protect contacts from damage when the receptacle is not in use.

Thru-Bulkhead Receptacle • BC22

Bulkhead feed-thru with dual receptacle ends

Description

This connector has receptacles on both sides of the shell, allowing cable plugs to connect from both sides. The long side of the shell features socket contacts, the short side pin contacts. A mounting bracket and gasket are recommended.

Box Mount Receptacle (Hermetic) • BC12

Hermetic receptacle with low-profile design

Description

Hermetic receptacles are made from high-strength carbon steel and glass inserts to create a true airtight seal. The low-profile rear design does not permit the use of a backshell. A gasket and mounting bracket with sealing screws are recommended for a reliable hermetic seal.

Receptacle with a single mounting hole

Description

Jam nut receptacles are preferred for hermetic applications because of the single mounting hole design and the integrated O-ring that seals the mounting location. A protective cover is recommended when the connector is not in use. The low-profile rear design does not permit the use of a backshell.

Hermetic receptacle with smallest footprint

Description

The hermetic solder mount receptacle is designed to have the smallest mounting footprint available. The reduced flange is useful when soldering in high densities to a panel or mounting to compact probes or sensors. The low-profile rear design does not permit the use of a backshell.

Description

Mounting brackets with captive stainless steel locking nuts provide a safety measure to prevent loose fasteners from falling into susceptible areas, which may cause equipment failure. BC Series Contacts & Sealing Plugs

High-performance crimp contacts

Description

BC Series contacts are machined from copper alloy and are gold plated for the highest electrical continuity and corrosion resistance. The series offers contacts in sizes #12, #16, and #20, which are suitable for 12-24 AWG wire and are rated for up to 23 amps. In addition, thermocouples are available in sizes #16 and #20. Sealing plugs are required for open positions in any connector to maintain reliable environmental protection.

Description

The TK101A precision crimp tool enables termination of contacts from #12 to #20. The tool features an eight impression crimp, which ensures maximum tensile strength between wire and contact.
